Hello!
I’m Thulasi Mohanadas
I believe that within every challenge lies the potential for growth—much like an oyster transforms irritation into a pearl. This philosophy has guided my 20-year journey in psychology and therapy.
I’m an accredited CBT therapist, certified EMDR therapist, Business Psychologist and EMCC certified Executive Coach. I live in London with my husband and our dog. Yes, that’s her – the one that looks like a miniature bear!
My Professional Journey
My path began in the NHS, where I proudly served for 20 years as a frontline practitioner, clinical supervisor, manager, and organisational lead for multiple large-scale psychology services. This experience gave me deep insights into what truly works when helping people transform challenges into strengths.
In my NHS years, I worked with trauma and anxiety across primary, secondary, and specialist services. I've been privileged to work with diverse ethnic groups and cultures, providing therapy in Tamil to asylum seekers and refugees who were overcoming complex PTSD imprinted by war experiences. I witnessed remarkable recovery even from severe psychological injuries.
I was also part of the original Grenfell NHS Team and set up an NHS staff wellbeing service during the pandemic, which deepened my understanding of trauma's impact across diverse contexts.
A decade in leadership roles revealed an irony—even psychology teams weren't applying psychological principles to create healthier workplaces. This revelation led me to study organisational psychology, expanding my ability to address both individual healing and workplace wellbeing.

My Specialities

While I cover the whole spectrum of wellbeing and mental health, I specialise in four key areas:
My Approach to Therapy
Beyond Talking
Therapy with me goes beyond just talking about problems. We engage multiple pathways to healing—cognitive understanding, emotional processing, and body-based approaches—creating comprehensive change that you can feel, not just understand intellectually.
Where Evidence Meets Experience
I integrate rigorous evidence-based techniques with deep human connection. Clients often remark that unlike previous therapy experiences that felt either too clinical or too unfocused, our work together provides both structure and genuine warmth.
Depth Without Overwhelm
I believe in going beyond surface-level solutions while ensuring you feel safe and supported. Clients often tell me they appreciate how we can explore deep issues without feeling overwhelmed—finding that delicate balance between challenge and comfort.
From Fragmentation to Wholeness
Trauma and chronic stress can leave us feeling fragmented—disconnected from parts of ourselves. My approach helps reintegrate these separated aspects, fostering a renewed sense of wholeness and authenticity that clients describe as "finally feeling like myself again."
Practical Meets Profound
You'll receive both immediate coping strategies, and understand the principles behind them, as well experience deeper transformational work. This dual focus means you'll feel better quickly while also addressing the root causes that create lasting change.
Empowerment Through Understanding
I believe knowledge is power. You'll gain clear insights into how your mind and body work, why you experience symptoms, and specific techniques to overcome them. This understanding itself is often deeply therapeutic and empowering.
Professional Credentials
My consistently 5-star Google reviews reflect the transformation clients experience when they discover their authentic self and resilience—their pearl within.

My Approach
-
We start with a free 15 minute consultation to first figure out if we are a good match to work together. We consider whether CBT, EMDR or coaching are the best approaches for your situation.
-
During the first and second session we explore the nature of your current psychological challenges, what’s keeping them going, where the root causes lie and clarify your desired goals.
-
A psychological formulation is a visual road map helping to connect and understand your present, the connection to the past and exit strategies for moving forward. We also agree on therapy approach and number of sessions. No psychological formulation is the same; it is unique to every individual.
-
This is your psychological armour; a selection of techniques and insights based on CBT, EMDR and other psychological models. The focus is on helping you to heal, overcome blocks, strengthen resilience and empower yourself to move forward.

Taking This Step.
I understand that by the time you contact me, you've likely been considering therapy for a while and are ready to begin. Many clients feel uncertain about which approach—whether EMDR, CBT, or another method—might be right for them. Even if you have received recommendations you may feel unsure of what to expect or if it will work for you.
If you're seeking relief from trauma, anxiety, or other overwhelming challenges, I'm here to help you understand how different therapies work, what the process looks like, and which approach makes the most sense for your situation. We can discuss what the timeline might look like and what to expect as we move forward.
