Therapy for Workplace Stress, Burnout & Toxic Work Environments.
Specialist support for professionals experiencing work-related anxiety, burnout, bullying, or workplace trauma
In-person in Epsom | Online across the UK
The Dual Lens: As a Business Psychologist and Psychotherapist, I understand the unique pressures of high-level roles. I don't just look at your symptoms; I understand the organisational politics, leadership demands, and systemic issues you are navigating. This isn't just therapy—it’s a clinical understanding of the corporate world.
When work stops being a source of strength and starts feeling like an impossible weight, it affects your health, your identity, and your life outside the office.
I work with professionals who have reached the point where "pushing through" no longer works. Whether you are navigating toxic dynamics, recovering from a specific workplace trauma, or are currently signed off with burnout, I provide a specialist space to process the distress and reclaim your stability.
Using a combination of CBT and EMDR, we move beyond temporary coping strategies to resolve the root causes of your work-related anxiety.
Where Are You Right Now?
Door 1: The High-Achiever Struggle You are still working, but you’re running on empty. You feel like a "fraud" (Imposter Syndrome), you can’t switch off at night, and your perfectionism is causing physical exhaustion. You’re "successful" on paper, but crumbling inside.
Door 2: The Crisis Point You may be currently signed off sick or on the verge of a collapse. The thought of your inbox or a specific colleague triggers a racing heart or panic. You feel defeated, and you aren't sure if you can ever go back to that environment.
Door 3: The Systemic/Toxic Issue You are dealing with workplace bullying, gaslighting, or an "impossible" organisational culture. This isn't just stress—it’s workplace trauma. You need help to process what has happened and decide on your next professional move.
The Clinical Approach:
CBT & EMDR
How We Work Together
To resolve workplace distress, we need to work on two levels: managing the current symptoms and resolving the underlying triggers.
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy): We identify the 'here and now' patterns that keep the stress cycle moving. This includes addressing perfectionism, the weight of over-responsibility for your team or output, and the difficulty setting boundaries that allow you to truly switch off. We work to quiet the 'inner critic' that suggests you aren't doing enough.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing): For those dealing with workplace trauma or deep-seated imposter syndrome, EMDR helps 'reprocess' the raw emotional charge of distressing meetings, professional setbacks, or workplace confrontations. We move these memories from your active nervous system into long-term memory, so they no longer trigger a physical 'panic' response when you open your laptop.
Why your brain stays 'on alert' at the office.
When you experience workplace trauma or chronic burnout, your nervous system remains stuck in a 'threat' state. This is why just thinking about your boss or an upcoming meeting triggers a physical heart race. We use EMDR to calm this response at a neurological level.
